Meteorologist Receives Death Threats For Cutting Into Masters Coverage With Tornado Watch

A local news station in Georgia interrupted coverage of the Masters on Sunday afternoon and people were pissed.

Their female meteorologist was flooded with hate mail and even death threats because of it!

They did a split screen for ten minutes, so people could still see the Masters but not hear it, while they tracked a severe storm in the Atlanta area.

And good thing they did, because a tornado did actually touch down an hour outside of Atlanta.

She addressed it on air later and said the backlash was disgusting and the news will continue to do their jobs and keep people safe.

We guess we should start calling good old “Hotlanta” Hot-HEAD-lanta.
