Pathway Church in Wichita, Kansas donates money to families in need every Easter but this year they decided to kick it up a notch and helped out over 1,500 families!
This year, they took the money they normally would donate and combined it with the cash they usually use to promote their Easter service and paid off $2.2 million in medical debt for 1,600 families.
Now it did not actually take a full $2.2 million because you can get debt forgiven for less than the full amount so it took them about $20,000 to pull it off!
Instead of sending out flyers to people inviting them to Pathway’s service, they instead sent letters to the families that read, “We’re Pathway Church. We may never meet you, but as an act of kindness in the name of Jesus Christ, your debt has been forgiven.”
