Not your typical “Florida Man” story because you actually feel kind of bad for the guy!
This poor man let his grass grow a bit too long and genuinely did not know he was being fined but could now lose his house over the unpaid fines.
The fines are no small feat or just minor warnings, no sir!
They hit him with $500-a-day fines for 57 days coming in at almost $30,000!
He says the reason his lawn grew so much was because he was away taking care of his mom’s estate, and points out limitless fines are unfair, so he is now suing the city and his lawyers agree!
Hopefully this case does not drag out as long as his grass did and he still gets to keep his home!
