This year marked the 92nd Scripps National Spelling Bee and this one will go down in history!
In a never-before-seen ending, there was an eight-way tie with each co-winning kid getting $50,000!
It started with over 560 kids, and went 20 rounds but after the 17th round, the eight kids left kept spelling every word correctly which really just seems like they did not dig into the dictionary enough!
There is an infinite amount of words nobody uses or could ever figure out how to spell but somehow they couldn’t eliminate anyone and just called it!
So congrats to these kids, now go become astronauts or something useful instead of standing around spelling!
