Inmates Save Suicidal Man With Laundry Cart

An inmate at Ramsey County Jail in Minnesota attempted suicide last week by jumping from a balcony.

Three other inmates tried to convince him not to jump but when he did, one man and his quick thinking saved him by catching him in a laundry cart.

The man who jumped and landed in the hamper only suffered a twisted ankle and the sheriff actually went to see the other three men who helped him to say thank you.

All three men who helped should be out of prison in the next month-or-so and want everyone to know is it is most important they have good hearts despite being locked up.

If you or someone you know is struggling or exhibiting suicidal behaviors, The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number is 800-273-8255 and always has trained staff available 24/7 to be the metaphorical laundry cart to catch you and help.
