On June 3rd at around 2:25 p.m., deputies of the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office spotted a pickup truck belonging to known warrant-subject Tyler Allman (27, of Rapid City). The vehicle was travelling on Universal Drive. A traffic stop was attempted, but the vehicle did not stop. The pursuit made its way into Rapid City and ended when the pickup struck a fence near the 500 block of Maple Avenue. Allman was seen running into a nearby residence. Law enforcement was able to communicate with Allman through a basement window. After speaking with Allman, he decided to comply with law enforcement commands. He exited the residence and was taken into custody. Law enforcement noted the strong smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. At the end of the investigation, Allman was placed under arrest for Aggravated Eluding, DUI (6th), Open Container in a Motor Vehicle, and his two Warrants.
