A few weeks ago, Bakersfield College student Matty Roberts created a Facebook event called “Storm Area 51: They Can’t Stop All of Us.” It includes a detailed plan where “Kyles”, “naruto runners”, and “rock throwers” among many other unique roles come together to storm Area 51 and find out what’s inside.
The plan went viral in three days, probably because everyone is so curious about what alien life might be inside Area 51. It started a bunch of memes that are now circling the internet, and people are starting to get serious about going to the forbidden area.
However, Roberts, the creator warns everyone that it was just a joke, and people shouldn’t actually try to storm the military training base. But he does think the event has the potential to become a music festival– complete with art, educational content, and friendship.
Sounds like he’s out of this world.
