Iowa Hula Hoop Tree Endangered Over Liability Concerns

This hula hoop tree has become a symbol of this community, even attracting people from out of state is now in danger of being chopped down over liability concerns!

The county supervisor for this Iowa community says the tree is “in bad shape” because it is actually dead, still standing after a fire in 2017 and now supporting the weight of hundreds of hula hoops.

Factoring in to the conversation surrounding the trees fate, supervisors also say because the tree is located between two “S” curves on a 55 mph road and there’s really no good place to park.

They are in talks of choosing a new location of the hoop tree but no matter what they do, this community clearly needs some sort of creative outlet.
