As we move from summer to fall, you can’t help but dread the impending cold and snow that comes with winter, but how can you tell a harsh one is on the way? Apparently animals give us the signs!
Now, a squirrel is not just going to show up on your doorstep and say “yo, winter’s gonna be NUTS” but if you notice extra acorns lying around and squirrels gathering nuts early, there you have it!
Other things to watch for to predict a harsh winter are things like pigs gathering sticks, ants marching in a line instead of “meandering” and be on the lookout for extra fuzzy woolly caterpillars.
