DUI

At around 9:55 p.m. on September 18th, police responded to 2250 Haines Avenue for a report of an intoxicated driver in the drive-through at the address. On arrival, police located the suspect vehicle still in the drive-through lane. The responding officer made contact with the driver and immediately noted the driver’s slurred words, sluggish movement, and inability to focus. Police determined he was too impaired to safely operated a motor vehicle. In the initial contact with officers, the driver gave police a false name. He would be later identified as 28-year-old Frank Dooley of Rapid City. Dooley was placed under arrest for DUI. A search of the vehicle turned up a white substance which field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Dooley was placed under arrest for the additional charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Impersonation to Deceive Law Enforcement, and two Warrants.
