Social Media Strikes Again: Anheuser-Busch Done With Carson King Over Old Posts

Carson King, the college student who has now raised over $1 million for the Iowa Children’s Hospital after his viral College Game Day sign got major attention from Venmo and Anheuser-Busch, is now in hot water over old social media posts.

Like any person either out to do a good deed or whose popularity is on the rise, someone dug up some old, insensitive by today’s standards, tweets and are using them against them.

It really was only a matter of time but is still unfortunate, especially considering King is genuinely apologetic about it and does not want it to affect the efforts for the hospital.

In a statement to Des Moines’ KCCI news, Anheuser-Busch said they will honor their donation commitments but want “no further association with him.”
