Florida Man Gets 10 Days In Jail After Oversleeping For Jury Duty

A 21-year-old guy in Florida recently made a mistake we all have before but is suffering some arguably harsh consequences.

Deandre Somerville overslept and missed jury duty but did not call in to explain what happened, because he didn’t understand how big of a deal it was.

He went to the hearing with the “honesty is the best policy” approach to explain he had overslept and apologize.

The judge, wanting to teach the young man a lesson by putting him in jail for 10 days!

Some people are criticizing the judge’s decision, thinking it was a little too harsh, maybe community service would teach the same lesson but still give something back.
