Loudest Bird Ever Doesn’t Even Sound Real

For all you headphone-wearers about to watch this, turn down the volume because we can’t believe a sound this loud came from a bird!

According to a study published recently in Current Biology, the Amazon rainforest’s very own White Bellbird soars to the top for the title of “the loudest bird ever recorded.”

The sound, part of the birds’ mating ritual, comes mostly from the bellbirds’ unique anatomy originally adapted to better eat fruit!

With thick ribs, large beaks, acoustic mouths (like Kelly’s) and “tough digestive muscles” these birds are a walking megaphone and it is absolutely crazy!

Imagine being a female bellbird and this dude just walks up and screams at you thinking that will turn you on…wait a minute…sounds like every weekend out at the club to us!
