Adam Sandler, years ago, got a piece of advice he is probably so glad he didn’t listen to!
When Sandler was at NYU, an acting professor took him out for a beer and actually told him he should quit because he would never make it.
Of course, say what you will about his most recent work, he did make it and that was good enough for him!
So good that when he eventually ran into that same professor again, instead of rubbing it in his face, he introduced him to his friends as the only teacher to ever buy him a beer.
Brad Pitt shared the story when the two sat down for Variety’s “Actors to Actors” as one of his favorite Adam Sandler stories because it really shows his character.
