People in the Tampa Bay, Florida area have had to be reminded what is and is not recyclable and boy are some of the things they’ve tried interesting!
The Waste Management Recovery Facility in Tampa says they have found weapons and firearms in recycled materials that get dumped on their belt.
Not only do those pose pretty serious danger for workers at these facilities but even things like boat anchors and garbage disposal parts can cause damage like locking up the machines and even starting fires, respectively.
So Florida folks and whoever else needs this reminder, just because it is plastic or metal does not mean it can be recycled…especially if it can explode.
