Intoxicated Subject

On March 11th around 9:10 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Signal Drive for a report of an intoxicated subject who was attempting to sleep in the reporting party’s yard. The reporting party advised they wished for the intoxicated male subject to be removed. On arrival, police located the subject, later identified as 61-year-old Benjamin Noble of Rapid City, at the front door to the residence. He was in in a verbal confrontation with the reporting party, even displaying threatening gestures. Police made contact with Noble and advised they would be taking him to Detox. Noble became angry and lunged at the door in an attempt to gain entry to the residence. When police attempted to stop him, he became combative and started fighting with the officer. Despite multiple commands to stop fighting, Noble continued to do so until another officer arrived and police were able to place him in handcuffs. A medical unit was called to the location to evaluate Noble for injuries received during the fight. He was transported to the hospital for treatment of a laceration to his nose. Once he was cleared by medical staff, Noble was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Pennington County Jail.
