Jeremy Renner Opens Up About Snowplow Accident With Diane Sawyer

Back on New Year’s Day of this year, Jeremy Renner’s family, and the world, was shocked by the news of his life-threatening run-in with his own snowplow.

The accident happened at his home in the mountains near Lake Tahoe, Nevada after failing to set the parking break on his 14,000-pound Snowcat. His nephew, Alex, ran to get help from the neighbors, Rich Kovach and Barb Fletcher, who made the harrowing 911 call that you hear in the beginning of Renner’s interview with Diane Sawyer.

Kovach, on the call, suggested they get life flight out ASAP, while Fletcher was helping make sure Renner stayed awake, though she thought he had passed for a few seconds.

Since the accident, Renner has had quite the road to recovery, and is now back up walking (and dancing).
