Two Albany Garbage Men Save 15 People From Late Night Fire

Krone Brown and Kenneith Carter were out making what started out as a usual trash pick-up for the Albany Department of General Services on Albany’s South End when they noticed a burning smell in the air.

Initially, they assumed it was the tires on the truck, until they got out and noticed an orange glow in the sky. They then began going door-to-door, waking and alerting residents of the row-housing homes.

Firefighters arrived at the scene, where the homes will now have to be demolished, but 15 people survived thanks to these two trash collectors!
