There are always risks involved when going skiing but, especially, when you are skiing outside of your usual hills, resorts, etc. and setting your sights on actual mountains.
Sure, it definitely takes a lot more preparation and know-how which is what this skier is probably thankful to have, otherwise he’d be chilling at the center of the earth right now!
He was skiing along a mountain in France when it appeared he’d be able to maneuver around a hole in front of him only to be seemingly sucked into a terrifyingly deep crevasse. Luckily, he was able to stop himself and, according to replies and comments on the video, was able to safely make it out with a pick axe and crampons.
