Duck, a Dog Who Flunked Duck Hunting, Now a Top Student at Georgia High School

A Georgia therapy dog named Duck, failed out of duck-hunting school; as Specialized Instructional Teacher Mary Nicoletti put it, “…he didn’t just fail a little. He failed miserably! Like, wouldn’t fetch, wouldn’t retrieve.”

Despite his first attempt at higher education, Duck was able to help pave the way at Lambert High School for a new vocational training program for students with special needs. Now, this sweet boy and eight other dogs are used for students to get certified as therapy dog handlers.
