Good Samaritan Halts Robbery With a Hug

Wouldn’t it be nice if all the world’s problems could be solved this way?

Good Samaritan, Michael Armus Sr., was at his local bank when he saw someone he recognized as a former neighbor and friend of his daughter, was in the process of attempting to rob said bank with a note and, what looks like in the photo from the news story, finger guns.

That’s when Armus approached and asked, “What’s wrong?… You don’t have a job?” The suspect then responded “There’s nothing in this town for me…I just want to go to prison.”

Armus was able to comfort him, got him outside, hugged him and in the end, the bank wasn’t robbed and the suspect did, in fact, get to go to prison.
