Jada Pinkett Smith has made her reputation on being an “open book” but sure dropped a few bombshells in the pop culture world in a recent interview with Hoda Kotb on “Today.”
In promoting her new memoir, “Worthy”, it’s been revealed that she and Will have been separated since 2016. Now, they say “separated” but it truly seems like everyone else’s normal definition of “divorce” without the paperwork. Jada, though, tries to explain why living like they are divorced despite not legally being divorced is the choice for them.
Of course, the Smiths’ marriage was under the microscope following “the slap” incident between Will Smith and Chris Rock at the 2021 Oscars. Jada revealed in the interview that she, like many of us, initially thought it was a planned skit between Will and Rock, who she also said had previously tried to date her.
It’s all just drama that while Jada says she simply “wasn’t sure how” to tell the world, this seems to be the most lucrative one. Good luck on your book sales we guess!
