A science expert from the Museum of Science on TikTok is showing us all how you can blow up a plastic garbage bag using only THREE breaths.
Despite how most people would attempt this, the trick is to NOT blow into the bag like you would a balloon by blowing through a smaller hole with the top close to your mouth.
Instead, you should back up from the hole in the bag, and THEN blow into it, filling it significantly more.
The phenomenon is called Bernoulli’s principle, and it’s actually the same thing that keeps airplane wings up in the air.
