Free stair climbing challenge and community remembrance.
Climb the VA steps 1 time, 15 times, 30 times or as many as you can climb. (The record is 60, held by Isaiah Cox.) Take your time; the Challenge Director will stay until you are done. (She will probably still be climbing anyway.) Take a turn carrying the flag. Every flight you climb earns $1.00 for ChallengeHS.

There is no charge, but you must sign the VA waiver to participate. Sign-in starts at 6:00 a.m. Flight of silence begins at 6:46 a.m. There will be information and a brief ceremony at approximately 6:30.

*15 times up and down is 2115 steps, equivalent to climbing up and down one World Trade tower. 30 up and down=4230 steps=two towers.

Can’t climb? Please come to remember with your neighbors. Coffee and pastries will be available from the Mornin’ Sunshine mobile trailer.
