Please join us for the 7th annual Empty Bowls event, brought to you by Leadership Rapid City Class of 2013, to benefit Feeding South Dakota’s Child Hunger Programs like the BackPack Program which provides a weekend package of food to 1,800 children during the school year and another 700 children during the summer months.
The event serves a simple meal of soup, bread and dessert, donated by area restaurants. Each guest will leave with a painted ceramic bowl to remind them of all the bowls that have been filled and all those left to fill. No one should go hungry in South Dakota!
We need BOWL PAINTERS! Community members are invited to paint bowls at Pottery 2 Paint (1919 Mount Rushmore Rd, Rapid City) to donate to the event. All are welcome to paint a bowl regardless of skill level – amateurs to professional artists are all encouraged to paint! Groups of painters are also welcome; please call 605.716.3331 to schedule a time. Painters receive $5 off the adult ticket price to Empty Bowls!
