Lunch & Learn: Consumer Fraud & Identity Theft

February 20, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Have you received an IRS voicemail saying a warrant has been issued and you are facing arrest? This scam and countless others are designed to take your hard-earned funds. Join us Wednesday, February 20 from noon to 1 p.m. at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs), and learn how to protect yourself and reduce the risk of falling victim to scams and deceptive trade practices.

Jody Gillaspie has been Director for the Office of Attorney General, Division of Consumer Protection since 2012. The Division of Consumer Protection’s role is to investigate false, misleading or deceptive trade practices that affect South Dakota consumers, enforce consumer laws designed to protect the public and business community, advise consumers of their basic rights and complaints on file and assist in legislation designed to protect consumers.

While lunch registration is closed at this time, feel free to bring a lunch and join us for this event.
