Monday, January 21 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., bring the kids to the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs) and join in the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.’s life, legacy and the gifts he not only gave to our nation, but to the entire world!
Begin the day’s celebration, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with I Have a Dream activities. Tell us your dream, paint a peace rock, make an origami dove and challenge yourself with our MLK quiz! Stick around afterwards, from 1 – 3 p.m., and watch Tracy Turnblad kick down the barriers of racial integration on television in the movie “Hairspray.” Popcorn and beverages will be served.
Remember, every person on the planet has the power to change the world!
