It has got to be so intimidating for the other swimmers to see Katie Ledecky show up. It’s got to be even worse when you get in the pool and realize she’s already going the opposite direction than you and your competitors.
Everyone else competed for silver and bronze medals as Katie Ledecky absolutely destroyed every second of her 30 laps for the 1500-meter freestyle.
Not only did Ledecky win gold again, she also set a new Olympic Record, beating her own by also beating second place by over 10 seconds.
We can’t wait for the day she makes like Michael Phelps and races a “shark”!
