Jump Rope Pro Uses Double-Dutch Ropes to Rescue Drowning Teen

When you think of heroes that could rescue you from drowning, it’s fair to say you wouldn’t expect a professional rope jumper to be at the top of the list.

David Fisher, a jump rope pro, got to live out a real-life version of his own book’s storylines about a roping superhero when he used his double-dutch ropes to save a neighborhood teen who fell through an icy pond.

The boy and the dog he was rescuing made it out fine thanks to Fisher’s efforts and the pro can now add his town’s Lifesaving Award to his list of achievements.
