Language teacher, Jessie, from “Chinese with Jessie” on YouTube sure had fun doing what you assume people are doing when you have Chinese symbol tattoos, and decoding Westerners’ bad tattoo translations.
These misadventures in ink include phrases like “low quality coal,” “refrigerator,” and “more failure,” with “coffin man” ominously making a double appearance.
One tattoo even offered a family tree, starting with “cancer” then listing the family members from, mom, dad, older brother, younger brother, younger sister” but notably skipped older sister.
Yet another sign to triple-check your tattoos if you’re going to be getting them in another language.
