From Fleeing to Frolicking: Cow Lives at Woman’s Sanctuary After Escaping Slaughterhouse

Mootilda is a cute, courageous cow that now gets to live out the rest of her days frolicking through the fields on this kind woman’s sanctuary for misfit animals after narrowly evading slaughter.

A few weeks ago, miss Mootilda went viral as video was captured of her running for miles after escaping a slaughterhouse. Aimee Takaha, the founder and owner of Aimee’s Farm Animal Sanctuary, was so moo-ved by the bovine’s beautiful race for freedom, she knew she needed her to join the rest of her herd.

The folks at the slaughterhouse made Aimee a deal, if she could get them $2,500 in 24 hours, Mootilda could move to the sanctuary.

Thanks to the community and other people inspired by Mootilda, the money was raised and now the heifer can happily have a full, fun life on the farm.
