In Santa Cruz, one mischievous sea otter decided it was time to hang ten (or however many toes otters have) by stealing a surfer’s board right out from under her!
Isabella Orduna says the furry felon gave her foot “an exploratory nip”, caught a wave, and refused to give the board back for 20 minutes. Another young surfer says his board was otter-taken when the critter caught hold of the leg leash of the board and pulled it back.
Locals suspect it’s either the infamous Otter 841, the reason for signage at the beach stating “Warning: Aggressive sea otter in this area. Enter the water at your own risk. Keep away from marine wildlife”, or some other otterly-unknown copycat.
Either way, Disney better get a move on and get into the BOARD room because this could be an adorable movie idea!
