So a Colorado woman buys her usual Chick-fil-A meal and then does a double take at her receipt, because apparently her waffle fries came with a side of…infrastructure improvements?
Turns out this mysterious “Public Improvement Fee” is not a covert Chick-fil-A chicken tax, but a developer-mandated charge at some Colorado shopping centers to pay for things like the roads and landscaping so, naturally, it would show up right on your receipt.
Per usual, the internet freaked out and questioned the legality of it all in the comments, but hey, at least now you can say eating “mor chikin” helped fund the parking lot!
