Spilled Syrup Causes Sticky Street Situation

Syrup is great on waffles and pancakes, but not so great as a road topping.  That’s what motorists found out when all 4 westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway in Fontana, California were closed after a big rig hauling syrup flipped, spilling the sticky liquid all over the road. The freeway remained closed for hours as road crews tried everything they could think of to clean up the mess.  Never heard them mention hot water, though, which seems like the obvious solution.
