After the buffalo are corralled, there’s still more to do in Custer State Park! The Custer Area Chamber of Commerce is holding their 27th Annual Buffalo Wallow Chili Cook-off. On Saturday, October 1st at 2:00 PM, folks cook up their best buffalo chili for a chance to win cash prizes: First, Second, Third, Showmanship and People’s Choice. This year’s prize money is $400 for First; $300 for Second; $200 for Third; $100 for Showmanship; and $100 for People’s Choice. Prizes will be awarded based on judges’ and tasters’ votes!

Making chili not your forte? How about sampling some amazing chili! Rev up your taste buds, spice up your palate and get ready to vote for your favorite buffalo chili, all while enjoying live entertainment and browsing the Arts and Crafts Festival.
