Pop diva, Christina Aguilera was about to perform in New Orleans, but the night before she decided to go to the bar the night before and could have very easily opened up a fresh can of “don’t you know who I am?”
Aguilera and a few of her dancers went out for a few drinks before the big night and when one of the bars had a live band, “Xtina” thought it would be fun to hop on stage and join them!
The band however, was not having it and would not give up the mic as Aguilera shared in her version of the story at the show the next night.
“I was like just let me come up and said, ‘What are you going to do, dance?’ I was like ‘No, I want to sing a song,'” she said. “He didn’t let me sing, so I was like ‘well I’ll just save it for my concert tomorrow.’ He wasn’t feeling me, it is ok, I went on my merry way.”
To be completely honest, it may have been a bit rude for her to just walk on up and assume she could just take over another musician’s set they probably worked hard to get.
However, she could have very easily hit them with the “excuse me, I have five Grammys” so we can commend her for not being an egotistical jerk.
Now we just wait for the story to go viral and for the inevitable single Christina will put out with the band and the internet will go nuts and make them famous.
