Documentary films provide a deeper study of timely, often unnoticed social issues. Join us Sunday, January 13 from 1 – 2:45 p.m. at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs) and build a sense of shared humanity with an engaging and compelling documentary and thought-provoking discussion.
Truth to Power (rated PG), the sequel to the 2006 film An Inconvenient Truth, documents Al Gore’s progress tackling climate change and shows just how close we are to a real energy revolution with solutions to the climate crisis within our reach. The film shows Gore’s work with fellow governmental leaders detailing his behind-the-scenes efforts at the United Nations 2015 Climate Change Conference. An informal discussion follows with hot tea and donuts.
