Annie Oakley & Sitting Bull | Surprising Friendship Presented by Humanities Scholar Candy Hamilton

How did the friendship between Sitting Bull and Annie Oakley begin and what can we learn from them? Join us Saturday, April 13 from 1 – 2 p.m. at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs) and learn about the distinguishing and strong leader Sitting Bull and the famous sharpshooter Annie Oakley and their unique and surprising friendship.

Candy Hamilton has worked as a Humanities Scholar and Artist in schools and communities for more than 20 years teaching classes and writing workshops from pre-K through college. She completed her master’s degree at University of South Dakota and has won national awards for her poetry and journalism. Hamilton has extensive experience working with youth at-risk including those in treatment and those incarcerated.
