Couple Helps Young Girl Stay Secured on Roller Coaster After Seatbelt Mishap

A day at the amusement park turned into a real-life superhero moment for this couple when a ride on Worlds of Fun’s “Mamba” coaster turned into a rescue mission.

The couple and two young ladies behind them were riding the Mamba, the tallest ride at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City when one of the girls’ seatbelts reportedly popped open as the ride crested the first hill, going upwards of 75 miles per hour.

With some quick-thinking, the couple reached behind them and grabbed hold onto the girl and her friend, told them “Look, you’re going to make it through the rest of this ride. We’re not going to let you go.”

The ride safely came to a stop and everyone was okay, thankfully, and inspectors from the Missouri Division of Fire Safety reportedly went to evaluate the coaster within the next few days.
