Sunday, November 12 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs) is pleased to welcome 2017 Miss Rapid City’s Outstanding Teen Faith Burnett. Faith will be presenting how her dyslexia diagnosis provided her with a better understanding of herself and ultimately helped with her self-esteem. Now she raises awareness about dyslexia and founded an Evaluation Scholarship Fund to assist others to receive dyslexia testing.
The Outstanding Teen Scholarship program is a part of the Miss America organization. After her presentation, Faith will be available for a question and answer session for girls ages 13 – 17 to lean how the program empowers young women in South Dakota.
