Alpha Warrior Challenge, a new type of technical obstacle course that pushes participants mentally and physically, is coming to the Dakota’s Club on base Aug. 4 to 5.
Airmen and their families can test their skills on the obstacle course, or compete in the Air Force’s newest fitness initiative. Alpha Warrior athletes will be available to showcase the obstacles and answer any questions about the course and competition.
7 – 8:30 a.m.: Open workout at the Pride Hangar
9:30 – 10 a.m.: Celebrity introduction and Q&A session at Dakota’s
10 – 11 a.m.: Battle Rig and Kid’s Rig demo by Alpha Warrior athletes at Dakota’s
10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Competition registration open at Dakota’s
11 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Kid’s Rig open at Dakota’s
1 – 3 p.m.: Battle Rig competition and awards at Dakota’s
3 – 4 p.m.: Battle Rig open to youth 13 and above at Dakota’s
The challenge is part of a larger program which includes a 15-region competition starting in September with the top male and female qualifiers from each region guaranteed to move on to compete in an Air Force-wide competition at the Alpha Warrior Challenge course in San Antonio in November.
The 10 male and 10 female competitors with the fastest times from across the Air Force will join the 30 regional champions for a total of 50 Air Force athletes earning a spot in the final competition.
