The Journey Museum and Learning Center is excited to announce the next event in its Fall Learning Forum series, ‘Black Holes’. Beginning at 2p.m. on Sunday, October 14th, Arjun Ayyangar, NASA Space Ambassador, will dive into the depths of black holes in outer space, revealing what we know and what we have yet to learn about their mysterious forms.
The formation of black holes, their variable size range, and the evidence of their existence will be covered during this learning forum. Ayyangar will also describe how understanding black holes will give more insights on under- standing the universe and field any questions about space he audience may have.
Arjun Ayyangar is a volunteer NASA Solar System Ambassador for the year 2018, and has received his undergraduate degree, continuing Masters. He received an internship atGoddard Space Flight Center for summer
2016, and another internship at Kennedy Space Center for summer 2018. He is a musician, who plays piano, harp, organ, violin, Veena (an Indian instrument) and Santur (aPersian Instrument).
Learning Forums are wide-ranging, thought-provoking presentations. Each program features a forty-five minute presentation, followed by an open forum with questions and discussion about the topic.
Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, half-off for members & free for students with a paid adult/senior admission (includes museum admission).
