Take in a movie at the downtown library. Friday, May 12, from 6:30 – 8:20 p.m. we will screen May’s Book to Film Movie Night feature, “American Pastoral.” An All-American college star and his beauty queen wife watch their perfect life unravel after their daughter commits a terrorist act in protest of the Vietnam War. Directed by and starring Ewan McGregor, the film is based on Philip Roth’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name. American Pastoral co-stars Jennifer Connelly and Dakota Fanning.
