Partake in a crowd-pleasing biographical comedy-drama “Florence Foster Jenkins” Friday, January 20 from 6:30 – 8:20 p.m. at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs).
Despite her horrible singing voice, heiress Florence Foster Jenkins (Meryl Streep), longs to become an opera star in 1940s New York. Hugh Grant and Simon Helberg also star. This biopic draws inspiration from a biography of the same name, as well as a documentary and Broadway play. Popcorn and beverages will be served. (Rated PG-13)
