Summer reading at Rapid City Public Library wouldn’t be complete without the Chamber Music Festival of the Black Hills Musical Story Time: The Teddy Bear Series. Your child can experience original stories accompanied by classical music at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street) Saturday, July 8 from 2 – 2:45 p.m. or Tuesday, July 10 from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. The story time will also be held Wednesday, July 11 from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at RCPL North in General Beadle School (10 Van Buren Street). This summer’s story is “Wilbur: The Buffalo Who Would Be King” accompanied by Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” for violin. Don’t forget to bring your teddy bear!
Following story time, children are invited to play the featured string instruments with guidance from the musicians.
