Civil Air Patrol youth get an up close view at the Lancer, B1 Bomber

September 14, 2017 @ 6:30 am - 9:00 pm

As part of their Aerospace Education activities, Rushmore Composite Squadron cadets (Cadet Airman Stratmeyer, Cadet Airman Clark, Cadet Chance, and Cadet Jarding with Active Duty USAF Captain “Nails” Morgan, Lieutenant “Migs”Dmitry) had the opportunity to tour a B1-B Lancer. They were able to get an up-close look at this technologically advanced bomber and ask questions of the pilot and crew about the aircraft’s unclassified capabilities and unique flying characteristics. Another great opportunity afforded to Civil Air Patrol Cadets.

Are you or your child interested in this and other exciting activities? Then please join the Rushmore Squadron Open House on 14 Sept 17 at 19:00. Please RSVP to RUSHMORE@SDCAP.US with your name and contact information. Transportation from the Visitors Center to the Rushmore Squadron will be provided. The schedule of events can be found on the Rushmore Composite Squadron CAP Facebook page.
