Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, celebrate the taste of Ireland at the downtown library. Thursday, March 16 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. (610 Quincy Street, upstairs) our March Cook the Book selection, “Clodagh’s Irish Kitchen: A Fresh Take on Traditional Flavors” includes such favorites as Guinness chocolate cake, lamb stew, and more! Clodagh McKenna owns two restaurants in Blackrock and Dublin. Her cookbook focuses on how, like in America, farmer’s markets providing fresh, local ingredients are changing the food culture in Ireland. McKenna’s cooking show, Clodagh’s Irish Food Trails, airs on American Public Television.

Just choose one of the available printed recipes from our online events calendar or at the downtown library’s front desk, take the recipe home and bring your completed dish to share! Please sign up by calling or through our events calendar by noon, Tuesday, March 14.
