In keeping with April’s letter writing theme, our Cook the Book selection, “Dinner with Mr. Darcy: Recipes Inspired by the Novels of Jane Austen” by Pen Vogler, is inspired by the food featured in Jane Austin’s novels and letters. Tuesday, April 25 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. (610 Quincy Street, Helen Hoyt Room, downstairs). “Dinner with Mr. Darcy” takes authentic recipes from the period and adapts them for contemporary cooking. 

Author Pen Vogler recreates recipes from the past for BBC television and edited the Great Food series for Penguin Books.
