March 10, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 2:40 pm

“I ask no favor for my sex, all I ask of our brethren is that they take their feet off our necks.” – Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Hero. Icon. Dissenter. The exceptional life and career of United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has developed a legal legacy while becoming an unexpected pop culture icon. Ginsburg’s formidable legal skills have resulted in five groundbreaking rulings that made great strides towards putting women and men on an equal footing before the law. Join us Sunday, March 10 from 1 – 2:40 p.m. at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs) and witness Ginsburg’s steadfast commitment to protect the rights of all citizens.

RBG premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2018 and is a documentary exploring Ginsburg’s exceptional life and career. The film is from Betsy West and Julie Cohen and co-produced by Storyville Films and CNN Films. An informal discussion led by South Dakota Democracy in Action member, Dorothy ‘Rowdy’ Brewick will follow with hot tea and donuts.
