“Images of National Parks” Learning Forum will be held in the Journey’s Wells Fargo Theater. For a five-year project, just published in his new book, Treasures ofthe National Parks Yesterday & Today, Horsted drove thousands of miles and hiked hundreds more to reach remote corners of the Grand Canyon, Yosemite,Yellowstone and other National Parks. His journey revealed what has changed, what has remained, and what history reveals about these special places across thecountry.

Copies of his latest book will be available for sale from the Journey Trading Co.’s book store. After the presentation, Horsted will host a book signing.

Paul Horsted is a nationally-published independent photographer and publisher based in the Black Hills of South Dakota, with a career spanning 30 years. Paul specializes in finding the sites of historic photographs and then creating a precisely-matched modern image, to show the beauty and history of our country “then and now” in an entertaining and informative way. These photo pairs inform our understanding of history, the environment, and development, and reveal much about thesurprising changes and amazing similarities between past and present.

Learning Forums are wide-ranging, thought-provoking presentations. Each program features a forty-five minute presentation, followed by an open forum with questionsand discussion about the topic.

Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, half-off for members & free for students with a paid adult/senior admission (includes museum admission).
